I haven't really blogged since Livejournal was a thing. It'll be tough to get back in the swing of things, figuring out what to write about, etc.
I'm late to the party but just started watching "Bates Motel." I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't actually seen its influence, "Psycho." But I have a good reason for that: I'm totally petrified of horror films. Well, mostly old horror films. With modern CGI and whatnot, I'm able to see what's occuring on screen. With older films, not only are they actually IN film instead of digital, but they had to make up for a lack of computers and other special effects. The cutaways and shadows and whatnot leaves more to the imagination. Nothing's scarier than one's own imagination.
Anyway, point being, despite knowing what "Psycho" was about, I walked into "Bates Motel" blindly. I don't even know how to respond. I've finished three episodes and want to binge watch the rest that are available on Netflix.
... but season 3 of "House of Cards" just came out.
... and I have two new books on my Kindle (which I will read and review on Goodreads!)
I guess maybe I can watch one more episode (hahaha!) and see what happens. Literally. Because so far, I'm absolutely LOVING "Bates Motel." Talk about suspense, layers, speculation, and well, everything really!
